This wet and miserable weather is making us think about upcoming winter – cue dark and chilly evening and dare I say the C word… ( I meant Christmas, obvs!). Today we are sharing the beautiful December wedding that was featured in the latest issue of Norfolk Brides Magazine and photographed by the talented Esther Wild.

As the founder of ethical lingerie brand AmaElla, Lara is a connoisseur of skilled, hand-crafted items and had her stunning wedding dress custom made by bridal designer Rachel Lamb. With simplicity and elegance in mind ( think Meghan Markle gown! Sorry, we’re obsessed!), she worked with Rachel to create a plain, long-sleeved and long-tailed silk dress, worn with a veil which had been in Lara’s family for generations.

Lara and Dean planned their December wedding in just four months and captured a Christmas feel with ivy, candles and lights and enhanced the grandeur setting of the Hengrave Hall.

They decided to do the decorations themselves but Lara said it had “felt a bit too much” when they were frantically writing name tags for the tables late at night a couple of days before the wedding.

The hard graft was soon forgotten on the day and Lara remembers preparing in Hengrave Hall’s fantastic bridal suite as a truly magical experience.

Lara and Dean said seeing each other at the church ceremony was the emotional highlight of their wedding day.

“We both began our marriage in tears of love”

Warm up with a cuppa in hand and enjoy the gorgeous images of this elegant winter wedding in Suffolk.
