The Most Curious Wedding Fair countdown begins! If you’re planning a wedding or just looking for a unique gift for Valentine’s Day then come and join us for all things curious on Sunday 8th February at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich!
The Most Curious is the ultimate wedding fair, jam packed with the very best suppliers. We’re brimming with creativity and inspiration for your big day, from established cool brands to up-and-coming designer makers, we promise to bring you the very latest ideas, styles and ideas to make your wedding really stand out from the norm.
We’ll be featuring some seriously ace people who will be gracing the catwalk with their bridal designs at 12 noon and 1.30pm. Here’s a little of what to expect….
The ultra talented Velvet Johnstone accompanied by Joanne Stoker shoes plucked from her new bridal wear collection. Joanne, get this, was spotted and mentored by Jimmy Choo before establishing her own brand. She’s collaborated with Matthew Williamson and picked up the highly prestigious Vogue Talents Award too.
Joining them on stage will be a selection of Lonely Hearts underwear from FINCH, the soon to open women’s wear shop in the Norwich Lanes. FINCH will be opening to the public sometime in March and Most Curious is super excited to be able to give you a sneak peak to their gorgeous underwear range.
So you’ve seen the noon fashion show, explored some of our great stallholders, you still can’t leave as at 1.30pm our stage will become the runway for some more amazing bridal outfits. This time Honeybomb Vintage Bridal Boutique will present a caboodle of glamorous, sexy, kooky and classic genuine vintage wedding dresses, which have been hand selected and imported from all over the world.
Joining Honeybomb will be wares courtesy of The Wedding Shed who will be adorning our stunning models with their brand of vintage bridal wear and accessories, all available to hire. But let’s not forget about the guests outfits, it’s always so hard to know what to wear! We’ve got super cool Rekah Garton to style a range of outfits from her The Prop Shop collection to inspire you.
The House of Handmade will also be joining us with their handmade collection of quirky and classic faux fur designs inspired by the Hollywood starlets of yesterday.
Keep an eye out for Sara Lowes’ creations from her collection ANIMALESQUE. A unique and independent costume brand for all those wild creatures who love to dress up! Love what you see? Sara does shows-stopping commissions too!
Throughout the day your ears will be entertained by a whole host of incredible musicians and DJ’s. Acts include the all brother accapella group, Testosta Tones. They specialise in Doo-Wop, classic Rock & Roll and BeBop and also incorporate Gospel, Jazz and Soul; they cover classic Acapella songs such as ‘Life Could be a Dream’ ‘Earth Angel’ and ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’ amongst others. The guys also pride themselves in taking some very contemporary songs and making unique covers of them in these classic styles.
That’s not all! Cambridge based wedding band Live and Let Funk , a 9-piece with bespoke orchestrations will be pumping out classic songs from the 60s to the present day in the afternoon. Live and Let Funk focus on soul, funk and disco music. Pop by The Wedding Jam stall to find out more about how you can book them for your wedding day.
The Wedding Jam also presents DJ Graeme Smith who will be playing from his extensive collection of soul, funk, rock n’ roll, freakbeat, glam-rock, psychedelia, reggae, indie, disco, house and hip-hop. Always keeping it interesting while peppering his sets with party classics, he can keep every generation on the dance floor.
Plus… The Record Player is back! The very best authentic vintage DJ specialising in music from the 1950’s.
But it doesn’t stop there! Did you know we are going to have a Palm Springs theme underpinning the shows?? Mid century design, colour pop on sun bleached white, palms and cacti, soft textures mixed with graphic prints – what’s not to love?! Come and see the dedicated inspiration installations by the cream of the creative crop in the wedding industry. Our ideas will be brought to life thanks to The Little Lending Company and Betina Bianculli .
