With winter and Christmas weddings on the up, we find that there are limited inspirational resources for couples planning their wedding in Norfolk. Yes, you will find tonnes of Pinterest and Instagram boards, but none of those will feature the work of our local suppliers ( in case you fall in love with it and want the EXACT thing for your big day).

Georgia from Georgia Rachael Photography has teamed up with some wonderful Norfolk wedding vendors to put together a warm rustic Christmas inspired wedding editorial. I hope that you can use the abundant floral displays, stunning make up and beautiful styling as an inspiration for your Christmas wedding.

“Our styled shoot inspiration was centred around Christmas, and making a seasonal wedding all that less cliché and tacky. Not a Santa or stocking in sight! Instead, to create a festive atmosphere, we used rich reds and brass golds in our colour palettes, a few fairy lights, plenty of candlelight, and other subtle nods to the most wonderful time of year, whilst maintaining the infamous rustic look that the Norfolk wedding industry and surrounding area is so popular for, to create something tastefully festive. We’re seeing a big increase in the amount of October / Halloween weddings, and in the same way that Instagram and Pinterest has done such a good job of making them so beautiful, we hoped we could do the same for Christmas.”Georgia Rachael Photography

“This wedding cake was inspired by vintage jewellery and hair accessories in worn gilt and gold. A selection of gold sugar paste flowers and wafer paper leaves adorn the rich deep red painted tier in delicious tones of Port. A twinkly gold layer adds the essential festive sparkle.” –  Sugar Buttons Cake

“Christmas is my favourite time of year so when planning my first bridal shoot I knew it had to be a Christmas theme. Makeup at Christmas always seems to get a little more glam, the red lipsticks that have been hiding away for most of the year come out, along with the fur coats and golden eyeshadows! Everyone just seems to feel a little more glam and it always feels more acceptable to rock a red lip in the middle of the day. When I think of makeup at Christmas my first thought is always a red lip, and always glam, so the makeup was all about  bold lips, sparkly eyes and wispy lashes… my favourite!” – Leanna Stibbon MUA

“I wanted the flowers to have a classy Christmas feel, deep reds was a must and the addition of chalk white tones mixed through added depth. I used lots of gorgeous textures with masses of foliage’s including eucalyptus, mimosa, silvery senecio and masses of stunning gold asparagus Fern fluttering through the blooms. For the archway I wanted draped fabrics mixed in with the flowers, the battery lights added a cosy,  romantic atmosphere.” – Ivy Floral Events

“Who doesn’t love a Christmas wedding? We had such fun putting together a beautiful dining table and cake station using a pallet of white and gold and rich burgundy to create a soft romantic look and adding magical touches of Christmas decor to get in the festive mood.” – Little Jem

“Our customisable designer dresses were prefect for this winter shoot as you can pick from 5 different sleeve options to create the perfect dress for your occasion. We chose the Lotus scoop back dress and Fern v-neck dress both with full length sleeves which were perfect for this mid-winter chilly shoot.” – Willow & Pearl

“Creating lots of volume and chic waves with an element of undone texture gave the glam yet romantic feel that we wanted for the hairstyles

Hair tip: To get that non hairspray look with hold yet movement to the hair it’s essential you use a fine mist hairspray with conditioning properties to give shine to the hair.” – Gemma Holiday
