I’ve been looking forward to sharing this gorgeous editorial for a while. I love the beautiful deep rich colours gives the opulent and luxe vibe to the styling. This is an ideal look for someone who would like to get hitched late autumn or in the winter, when there is not much of the greenery around. The replacement of the traditional pastel wedding colours from summertime weddings, to the more vibrant and deeper tones creates for a warm yet super luxe hygge feel. I hope that you will enjoy this edit and this will inspire you to try this great alternative to the more traditional winter wedding looks.
This luxe-meets-rustic styled shoot aims to inspire real Brides & Grooms to hold their weddings in the Autumn & Winter months. Alicia, of Lily Jayne Florist, created the concept of this gorgeous set up using rich berry colours, geometric shapes, and the odd pheasant feather here and there. The contrasts of delicate and vibrant seen in the table decorations and the cake, perfectly encapsulates the romance of the season, whilst in keeping with a lot of current trends that any edgy Bride would swoon over.

Held at Norfolk’s grand Pentney Abbey, the setting for this shoot flawlessly compliments those contrasts seen in the styling. Loving renovated, with modern touches this historic building in it’s century old Gatehouse, still stands tall upon entry to its 35 acres of ground, overlooking miles & miles of countryside. The Gatehouse guarding the estate dates back to the 1300s and is complete with medieval carvings, arched windows, hanging tapestries and a secret staircase. It has certainly added depth and character to the shoot.
A warm, autumnal palette of burgundy, navy blue, purple & gold, brought to life by the centerpieces and tableware thoughtfully styled by Flo & Fox, adds a very subtle depth to the images captured by Georgia Rachael. The same colour palette continues to appease in Lily Jayne’s floral arrangements, especially in the wild & ethereal bouquet carried by Bride, Chantel. The addition of real grapes used in the table piece is just the kind of unique touch that can be added by this daring & modish florist. A small bit of gold leaf foiling adds a touch of opulence to this otherwise elegant and simple, two-tier wedding cake, adorned with the same pheasant feathers and grapes used in the centrepieces. Beautifully created by Buns of Fun with a pale peach frosting, it makes for the perfect blank canvas to build upon. Laura from Laura Hunt MUA got a feel for the style and then put this into the overall look for the model. The deep rich shades used complimented the look perfectly.
