Today we have something very exciting to share with you. If you are a fan of the E4 Series of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ you would probably have watched their first episode of the season last night?

Don’t Tell the Bride’ has returned to our screens for a brand new series. The very popular show on E4 started last night with the first episode set in our very own Norfolk. The reality show followed Thetford bridegroom, Lee Sim with a £13,000 budget as he struggles to plan a wedding in just three weeks.

The Vegas-themed wedding was held at one of the Norfolk Brides recommended wedding venues at Applewood Hall in Banham , complete with an Elvis Presley lookalike, replica Wedding Chapel built in the grounds, 1958 Cadillac, red carpet, casino tables and Vegas selfie backdrop for photographs.

When Kiera Goymour, Applewood Hall’s resident Wedding Planner, first received the enquiry from Lee, she wasn’t sure what to think.

Kiera said: “I really thought it was a hoax! Especially when Lee told me he only had three weeks to plan his wedding and he couldn’t come to view the Hall for another week because he was away ‘on a trip’. It all became clear when I finally met him and discovered his theme.”

I thought he did so well to pull it all together on the budget he had left. I don’t want to give too much away for those that might not have seen it yet, but let’s just say Elvis was a big hit!”

Brides aren’t allowed to have any involvement whatsoever with the planning, which Bride-to-Be, Anna Forder found difficult in the run up to her top-secret big day.

Anna said: “The experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions but Lee and I are so pleased we had the opportunity to be a part of the show. I never expected to finally have an engagement ring and then to have such an amazing wedding day. Lee planned the perfect day for us, Elvis and all!

Shown on E4 at 9pm, the new series of Don’t Tell The Bride commenced yesterday and documents husbands-to-be as they plan their wedding with a £13,000 budget.

If you missed the episode, you can watch it here.

Applewood Hall is a family owned and run specialist wedding venue located in the South Norfolk village of Banham. Having hosted weddings since the early 1990s, the last 18 months have seen the Goymour family invest in the future of this stunning venue with daughter, Kiera, taking the helm. Attracting over 20 weddings a year, Applewood Hall is more than just a marquee-lined reception venue with two beautifully designed ceremony rooms, a stunning landscaped garden filled with cottage garden flowers, cosy Glamping Pods and luxury Shepherd’s Cabins.

Have you watched the show? Comment and let us know what you thought! Would you let your husband to be to take charge of your wedding day and have NO input at all?
