When I saw this sneak preview I just knew this was a styled shoot that I HAD to share. The glitter, the glamour and big hair, tulle and fantastic accessories. This wedding inspiration has been put together by some the best of the Norfolk wedding suppliers.
The inspiration behind the shoot was MarieAntoinette/Lauderee/Rococo theme and it was very much a nod to the glamorous glittery gold trends of 2014. I also took inspiration from Glemham Hall as a venue, it is extremely grand with amazing grounds which suited the shoot perfectly. Unfortunately being February when we pulled the shoot together the weather wasn’t great so we were unable to shoot anything outside which was a shame but Rowan from Apricot Weddings manage to capture some shots for the video in between showers.
I wanted to work with local suppliers to showcase all of their talents. Emma Chapman is a recent Photography Graduate and really wanted to add Bridal to her portfolio, so it was great to work with her. Emma approached the shoot differently to how a typical Wedding Photographer would have done and I feel like the result turned out almost Editorial style which was great for showing the “Couture” style of this shoot.
Rowan Banks from Apricot Weddings was the same, he is experienced at shooting Weddings but hadn’t yet done a “behind the scenes” of a styled shoot so was excited to be involved and the video has just captured the essence of the day perfectly. Even the music it is set to is perfect!
When it came to the dress I just knew I needed to speak to Sophie, of Sophie & Smith. I had seen her beautiful “Pippa” dress in other shoots. It’s a stunning WOW dress with a full skirt of Tulle and a sweetheart neckline bodice. I envisaged Marie Antoinette wearing something very similar! Sophie also offered us a Black dress “Rebecca” which I jumped at the chance of using. There are lots of Brides out there that look for something different to wear on their wedding day and this still very much fitted the theme of the shoot.
There was only one local model that I wanted to work with and that is Hannah Campbell. Hannah is just beautiful and has the most amazing platinum blonde hair. It just so happens that Hannah is also a very talented florist, Lovens Floral Home & Design, so that was that ticked off the list too. Hannah did a great job with the flowers and of course being our Marie Antoinette styled Bride!
I wanted to use flowers for the hair and immediately thought of Hannah Melnyk of Bohemian Love Story. Hannah makes THE most amazing Hair Adornments. Hannah is also THE most amazing Make up artist, Mrs Kitsch Make Up Artistry & Styling and it was lovely working with her on the day. I didn’t want the make up to be typical Wedding Make up but more like Marie Antoinette and Hannah just knew what to do. We even went a bit more crazy when shooting the black dress, heavier make up, bigger hair, more hair flowers. It was exactly as I had imagined!
Gemma Holiday was our Hair Stylist. I’ve worked with Gemma in the past and just knew she would be great. She was! She made Hannah’s hair exactly like Marie Antoinette’s, almost wig like! It worked perfectly with the hair adornments, make up and dress! When we moved onto the Sophie & Smith “Rebecca” Black dress Gemma made Hannah’s hair look amazing and I think she enjoyed doing it too, something a little out of the ordinary!
To complete the look I invited Sarah of Special Occasions Handmade stationary to create some stationary for the shoot. Sarah came up with a couple of looks one that suited the “Pippa” dress part of the shoot and some Black & White to suit the “Rebecca” Dress. Little cameo favour boxes and gorgeous menus helped to dress the table scape too.
La Belle Amour created a “Let them eat cake” Table display with mirror trays full of Vanilla Cupcakes, Champagne glasses full of Chocolate truffles and delectable Strawberry & Chocolate cake on one of our beautiful cake stand’s. I often create Handmade items for Brides at La Belle Amour and wanted to showcase some of the ombre glitter vases and gold Mercury candlesticks I had made for a Bride, they just finished off the display. The Table Scape was made up with La Belle Amour’s beautiful China Place settings, I opted for Gold & Pink china with Ribbons & Lace to complete the place settings. I used one of our ornate mirror trays as a table centre piece topped with Hannah’s beautiful floral arrangements. Finished off with Special Occasions place settings.
This is the first shoot I have solely put together and it came together even better than I had ever imagined. Everyone worked fabulously together and I think you will agree we managed to capture the theme perfectly. You can visit our pinterest inspiration board here. Please check out everyone involved in the shoot and their portfolios. Hopefully they can help you with your special day!
