Kim and Matthew had been together for 8 years having met at Po Na Na’s ( now known as ‘Be at One’ cocktail bar. Matthew popped the question on their holiday to Thailand on the last day before were due to fly home, which was a n exciting surprise.
The couple planned their wedding together and enjoyed checking out wedding venues as finding the right setting for their big day was really important to them both. Both Kim and Matthew wanted to have a fun yet relaxed, festival inspired outdoorsy wedding with plenty of good music.
“Matt is the bridezilla out of the two of us. He was fussy about the venue, where the marquee had to be set up for the day.”
Although wedding dress shopping was a little tricky to start with, Kim soon found the dress that made her feel great, especially since she worked very hard to get herself in shape and lost 1.5 stone before the big day.
Despite forgetting to book a wedding car, Kim managed to get herself ( and her 4 bridesmaids!) to the wedding – in her bridesmaids Clio. Sadly, Kim’s Dad is no longer with us, therefore she decided to get her beloved dog Mylo and her bridesmaids to walk her down to the aisle where she got wed in a brilliant sunshine.
Although the story is short and sweet – the photos tells a thousand words, so I hope that you will enjoy some of the gorgeous images from Kim and Matthew’s wedding day captured by Matthew Wilkinson Photography.
