CHOSEN | New Reign Collection 2018

I have been following Chosen on Instagram for a while now and literally, every single image that they post just takes my breath away. When I was planning my wedding 5 years ago, I really struggled to find a wedding dress that reflected me and my personality. Often, we are expected to pick up what is on the rails in wedding dress shops and accept that this is what wedding dress should look like. Don’t get me wrong, there are some amazing dresses out there and they look spectacular once they are on, but for me, at the time, I was struggling to find something that made me feel comfortable in my own skin and oozed my vibe. I ended up finding a lovely wedding dress, but it certainly wasn’t anything like what I actually wanted when I first started to plan our wedding. The reason for that, I think, was the fact that I didn’t know where to look beyond the local wedding dress shops.

In the past 5 years, bridal fashion has come such a long way, and I am very excited to see a lot more variety when it comes to wedding dress choices for today’s bride. There are so many more indie designers who are not afraid to push the boat out and be more daring when it comes to their dresses. Embracing the bohemian and hippie vibes or showcasing minimalistic simple designs, bridal fashion industry is now focusing on reflecting each brides individuality. There are so many brides who sometimes can feel their unique personality being suppressed by the traditional bridal fashion houses, but the indie brands and small designers are starting to really change bridal industry perceptions.

We are very lucky to have some lovely  Bridal Boutiques in Norfolk, stocking some fabulous bridal designers to suit most budgets and styles. BUT there are some exclusive designers that you will not find in Norfolk, however that shouldn’t mean that you should be denied the wedding dress of your dreams.

All I am trying to say, is that it is no longer a big deal to hop on the train and head off to London and try some gorgeous wedding dresses. At the end of the day, your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and if you are not finding what you want locally, do not settle.

I am now rambling on, sorry! Swiftly moving on to the collection that I am so in LOVE with.

CHOSEN | New Reign Collection

Ok, before you fall in love with any of these dresses – they are not available in Norfolk, Suffolk… or East Anglia for that matter. However, they are available form The Wedding Club in London and few other stockists in the UK.

Born in 2016 from the creatives at One Day Bridal – an Australian bridal fashion brand, CHOSEN offers an alternative to traditional bridal. Bold design, exclusive fabrics and eye catching silhouettes embody the CHOSEN bride. The team of skilled designers and dressmakers have created custom designed fabrics and innovative designs which showcase a new era in bridal.

Set on a horse stud in the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, New Reign tells the tale of royalty, beauty and compassion. Designed for the true romantics, New Reign is a cohesive collection of wedding gowns created from rich and textural fabrics.

I hope you will enjoy this collection as much as I do. I’d love to hear your thoughts about this post and the collection itself, but for now – grab a cuppa and immerse yourself in all things gorgeous.
