We are loving this cute, low key wedding of two childhood sweethearts Tiff and Joe. Read their story and check out their beautiful wedding photos captured by Matt Wilkinson Photography.

The Proposal

We were childhood sweethearts and met in Frettenham, where Joes family and my  grandparents lived. Even back then, we talked about getting married in Frettenham, so when Joe proposed on holiday in Spain at sunrise in 2013 we knew exactly where we wanted to get married - Frettenham Church.

Before the Big Day

After booking the church we had the task of finding a reception venue.

We wanted a chilled out wedding, where all our family and friends could relax and enjoy themselves. The marquee at The Goat Inn gave us exactly the vibe we wanted. We were able to be able to put our own personal stamp on it at a large marquee in the grounds of a thatched country pub.

Joe had his stag do in Newquay, where the boys tried their hands at surfing and cliff jumping. I had my hen do at Center Parcs, where we enjoyed a relaxed weekend in the sunshine.

My wedding dress was from Camilla Brides. I fell in love with it when I first saw it and knew it was "the one". My mum bought my dress as a wedding present, which was so special. Only me and my mum knew about my dress and I managed to keep it a complete secret from everyone, until I walked downstairs on the wedding morning.

Your wedding day

Our wedding day was a very hot one! Temperatures peaked at over 30 degrees. The weather was amazing....if dare I say it a little too hot! The weather really did help make our wedding even more magical. Given the heat, our guests were grateful for the refreshments after the service.

Luckily,  my dad has a Rolls Royce, which we used as our wedding transport for the day. We had an idea when we first began planning the wedding -  "rolls in the rolls": once we were dropped off at the church, it was parked outside with the boot open. Inside the boot was a selection of goodies - from  cold drinks, sausage rolls, to heart shaped mini sandwiches ready for our guests as they came out of the church.

After the church service we had told lots of our friends we had organised a minibus to transport them to the reception venue - a brand new tractor with a large cart on the back! Wedding transport Norfolk style!

As this was a slow mode of transport it gave us a chance have some champagne in the Rolls Royce and to stop for photos on the way to the wedding reception.

We just had to stop at the Frettenham sign, where it all began with our first kiss way back when we were 13!

The speeches were fantastic my dad did a poem which had everyone laughing, and Joe, who was so nervous about his speech did a great job too, as did the best man. Our wedding favours were blank keyrings - in the evening we had a photobooth so everyone got a personalised photo keyring to take away with them.

We had some fantastic light up love signs, these really did look amazing especially as it started to get dark. I spent many hours with one of my good friends making 300 cookies for the reception, these were a real hit on the sweet table - we both have a real sweet tooth so enjoyed the big sweet treats table. Joe and I made the table plan together also.  Bridesmaids helped me make the save the dates, invites and order of services.

The dancefloor was full all evening with a good range of songs, there was drinking and dancing inside and outside and it was amazing to have everyone enjoying our special day together.

"My advice for other couples would be to just enjoy it, don't stress about the little things. They really don't matter on the day - as long as you have the people that matter around you - you have all you need."
