Alexandra Wood launched her business with the simple mission of creating beautifully tailored suits that would make each and every customer look and feel incredible. Never settling for anything less than perfection, she has swept aside the traditional view of the Savile Row tailor seamlessly (forgive the pun) combining impeccable style and cut with warmth, approachability and humour!

To her customers, Alexandra is an indispensable guide through the gauntlet of good tailoring. Trained at the London College of Fashion she quickly rose through the world of tailoring taking the helm within the Bespoke Tailoring department at Shanghai Tang, Knightsbridge. Here Alexandra honed her skills – and quickly re-designed the entire showroom!

Alexandra’s inspiration comes from her customers, she prides herself on developing strong personal relationships that allow her to understand their lives and design suits that are truly and uniquely crafted for them. Alexandra’s customers come from many walks of life: barristers, artists, MPs and even celebrities but, regardless of their background, her approach, personal service and dedication to achieving the perfect look for each individual remain the same.

Every well-tailored suit begins with beautiful fabric and Alexandra sources the best materials from around the world. Fittings can take place at her Savile Row premises or, for your convenience, your home or office. A two-piece wool suit, with a choice of 70 business classic and beautiful linings, costs from £795 proving that bespoke tailoring doesn’t have to come with an unobtainable price tag. Alexandra’s signature style is based on clean lines and a slim cut that curves into the waist and back, fitting and flattering to perfection.

Here are just a few things that Alexandra’s customers say about her:

“Normally if I have to be measured for a costume I’d rather I was under anaesthetic. Alexandra makes the whole process painless and is calm and full of suggestions throughout. The whole experience was great fun” – Rory Bremner, Comedian.

“I have worked with Alexandra for a number of years now. She is very professional, fun to work with and passionate about getting my suits to fit me perfectly, which is no easy task given my size and shape! I would recommend her services to anyone” – Adam Freeman, Partner, Linklaters.

“Alexandra first came to see me about five years ago. I had never had a suit made for me before. Since then I have not gone anywhere else for my suits. All the suits she has made for me fit fantastically well. The range of cloth is huge, the service is excellent and you know that Alexandra will produce a first class suit” – Mark Lucraft, QC, Red Lion Court Chambers

"I bought a suit from Alexandra for my wedding and I have to say how impressed I was by the entire process, her friendly and professional approach, her patience when looking for the right type of cloth and most importantly, the amazing quality and style of the suit she made. I would warmly recommend Alexandra to anyone looking for a great suit! Thank you!"  - Thibaut & Jennifer Minguet
