Meet Jane | Little Pea Designs

Welcome to Little Pea Designs. My name is Jane D’Arcy and I created Little Pea Designs in 2013 after a long break from work to be a full time Mum to our daughter Emily.

Little Pea Designs is named after Emily as she has always been lovingly called ‘Little Pea’.

I live with my family in the heart of the Norfolk Countryside. Since a child I had dreamed that I would love to live in the countryside one day. My husband & I both come from the South East where we found life to be rather too hectic for our laid back natures, so in 2004 we headed to Norfolk leaving our families behind to continue the battle with the rat race.

I believe that being here has reignited my passion for craft and being creative. As a child I would spend many an hour drawing, painting, sewing & crafting. Once I left school I studied art at college but always lacked direction, it was in me but I never knew which way I should be taking my creative skills.

During the 1990’s I studied Interior Design and qualified. I really wanted to make this work so began taking on paid Interior Design jobs for friends and family. I was even commissioned to design the interior of the offices I was working in at that time. However, with our decision to move to Norfolk came the end of the venture.

Earlier this year I was asked by a lady in London if I would like to make her wedding stationery for her. I designed a bespoke suite of stationery, which she has been over the moon with. I was under pressure to produce something really special & individual to match the couples amazing reception venue at ONE Marylebone. I found that I enjoyed this so much that I wanted to see if I could make this work as a business.

This year I have been concentrating on getting my name out there, marketing the business and creating some beautiful stationery.

In the meantime I have recently finished a set of daytime & party invitations for a couple in Hertfordshire. They have been really happy with what I produced, which makes the whole process so enjoyable.

I am currently busy sending out various samples to interested brides. What makes this so exciting is that each wedding is unique and the briefs are all so different. I’m able to really let my creativity shine and put my heart & soul into each collection.

I’m looking forward to showing off my designs at this Autumns Wedding Fairs and hope that you will find me and have a look at what I can create for your special day.

Each one of my designs is exclusively designed and hand crafted by myself. I buy only good quality cardstock, ribbons & embellishments and work hard to produce really stunning designs.

I work using blank sheets of card which I cut and score by hand. I also emboss my own card. Each element is sourced, cut and finished by me. I don’t mass produce anything. I even do all of my own printing. All of my stationery is truly, lovingly, hand crafted.

My work was recently described by a London Event Designer as

’WOW!!! Look what the wonderful Little Pea Designs sent me today!! These beautiful samples!! Jane , your work is even more beautiful seen in person.......BRIDES, highly recommended!!
Her designs are so elegant with a beautiful simplicity!!!
Look forward to working with you Little Pea Designs! —‘’ Anna Sampieri

I have various set ranges available to brides. Alternatively I offer a Bespoke Service. It really depends on what each individual couple requires.

My inspiration is definitely my brides, without them I couldn’t create such beautiful work.

What I do pride myself on is quality and constant communication with my brides, that way they will end up with a set of stationery that they are proud and excited to show their family & friends.

I absolutely love what I do and I always get excited with each new booking I receive, I’m passionate about what I produce and I know that this comes across in my work.
